Miss Long Island Crowned in Patchogue

Catherine Manett of Patchogue places third and wins director's award in teen competition.

The Miss Long Island and Miss Long Island Teen 2011 Pageant was held at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts on Sunday.

Catherine Manett, who represented Patchogue in the Miss Long Island Teen division, won fourth place and a director's award. Maria Montes, Port Jefferson, won the crown for Miss Long Island and Kimberly Taff, Malverne, won Miss Long Island Teen.

Over 360 women applied and only 16 were chosen to compete after an audition process.

Winners advance to compete on the New York State level in Bass Productions' Miss New York USA pageant, the official preliminary to Donald Trump's Miss USA pageant. The winner of the Miss Long Island Teen 2011 Pageant will represent this region at a statewide pageant comprised of winning queens from across New York State, and will make an appearances as Miss Long Island Teen at a myriad of community events across the Island.

2nd Runner-up: Amberlyn Brennan of Bohemia
3rd Runner-up: Danielle Cinone of Smithtown
Director's Award: Pehkna Singh of Westbury
Miss Photogenic: Jessica Pinkney of Manhasset
Miss Photogenic Runner-up: Amberlyn Brennan of Bohemia
Miss Community Queen: Jessica Pinkney of Manhasset

Miss Long Island Teen: Kimberly Taff of Malverne
1st Runner-up: Lauren Doherty of Northport
2nd Runner-up: Victoria Szafranska of St. James
3rd Runner-up: Catherine Manett of Patchogue
Director's Award: Catherine Manett of Patchogue
Miss Teen Photogenic: Toddasia Parrish of Roosevelt
Miss Teen Photogenic Runner-up: Victoria Szafranka of St. James
