Mayor Paul Pontieri, representing the Village of Patchogue, awards Shawn McLearen of ArtSpace the official Certificate of Occupancy.

Artspace recently received its official Certificate of Occupancy from the Village of Patchogue on Jan. 28.

Move-in to the building is expected to begin in February said Shawn McLearen, Artspace Project Manager, during a tour of the building.

“[Artspace is] incredibly proud to be a part of the village and have benefited greatly from their spirit of community development,” McLearen said.

Artspace is still accepting applications for residents. Current rental pricing ranges from $817 to $1480 depending on the tenant’s income and unit type. This does not include rental insurance. Several of the initial applicants selected went through a lottery process in November.

The ground level of the building will house studio apartments and businesses such as C2 Gallery, which is moving into the building from its current Main Street location. Other units will be housed within the building on the higher floors.
