Photos: Economic Benefits of Immigration Reform Panel

Panel hosted at Congregational Church of Patchogue Monday.

A panel discussion on the economic benefits of immigration took place Monday at the Congregational Church of Patchogue.

Panelists included Roger Clayman (Long Island Federation of Labor), Otoniel Figueroa Duràn (Local 32BJ SEIU), Joe Gergela (Long Island Farm Bureau), Kevin Law (Long Island Association) and Alvin Ramnarain (Local 1102 RWDSU/UFCW). David Dyssegaard Kallick (Fiscal Policy Institute) served as a moderator.

A recurring theme during the start of the discussion revolved around how not everyone is going to get what they want out of immigration reform laws as they become formulated, but that the government and society are at a place where these discussions can begin.
