Photos: Patchogue Kiwanis 5k Eliminate Project

Race has 250 participants that started and finished at Patchogue's Briarcliffe College.

Around 250 runners participated in the on Sunday, announced the organization in a press release.

The event raised money for The Eliminate Project, which is a campaign to stop Maternal Neonatal Tetanus.

The top overall male was Greg Contwell with a time of 17 minutes and six seconds, and the top overall female runner was Leonora Petrina with a time of 17 minutes and 48 seconds.

According to the organization's release, the Kiwanis are raising additional funds this year after presenting a $10,000 check to Kiwanis International last year.
