Dan - there already is a traffic problem at the overpass in question. It can not accommodate theRead Morecu rrent traffic. And I have shopped at several walmarts before. I have yet to see traffic jams out front of any of them. It is not like 50,000 people a day will be flocking to this particular walmart.

CO i guess these "issues" don't plague any other states, regions or places you plan toRead Moreliv e. The roads have always been horrendous in Brookhaven, crack is not in, heroin is. But was have always had a drug problem hence the "war on drugs". Property taxes have ALWAYs been an issue. Again, power plant NIMBY. Polluted bay - again been an issue for many years - ask the residents to upgrade their cespools along the shore or ask everyone to pay higher property taxes to convert to sewers.

You think I don't know? You think I haven't visited numerous times and researched where I will beRead Moreli ving. I hate to tell you LI is NOT a model of the rest of the country. Yes heroin is in. Glass stems are still the number one selling item at gas stations. Out HS kids aren't dying from crack everyday so you don't read about it in Newsday. If you want to really talk about the popular drug now it's pills. All if LI had the problem but it's more concentrated in certain towns. Patchogue being one of them. As for all the problems you have listed yes they have always existed to a certain extent. They are now reaching the boil over level. It sounds like you are trying to convince yourself that this is an ok place to live. You think I just woke up one day and said to myself "I think I want to hate where I've lived my whole life"?
