Applebee’s Long Island restaurants were drenched in denim during a weeklong effort to help raise money for the American Red Cross aide to victims of Hurricane Sandy. The “Blue Jeans for Red Cross” program encouraged Applebee's workers to wear jeans to work each day for a $1 donation to the ARC. In total, the staff contributed $4,300 to the cause. Pictured, presenting the check to John Miller, CEO of The American Red Cross, is Applebee’s General Manager, Colleen Colgan.
