Assemblyman Dean Murray Hosts a Town Hall Meeting

MURRAY TO HOST TOWN HALL ON MAY 3

Event to be held at South Country Library

Assemblyman Dean Murray (R,C – East Patchogue) would like to inform his constituents that on Thursday, May 3 he will be hosting a town-hall meeting at the South Country Library on 22 Station Road in Bellport from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Any and all legislative topics are open for discussion and Assemblyman Murray encourages every interested resident to attend.

“Town halls are a great way to discuss the issues most important to our communities,” said Murray. “Whether it is a question about the state budget, legislation to combat cyberbullying or armed-service commendation, any topic is fair game. I look forward to hosting this town hall and working with our residents to make Suffolk County an even better place to work, live and raise a family.”

The May 3 town hall is the first of three town halls Assemblyman Murray is hosting in May. If you cannot attend, Assemblyman Murray will be hosting another town hall on May 17 at the Medford Fire Department and on May 24 at the Longwood Library. To RSVP to any of these events or for further information, please contact Murray’s district office at 631-207-0073.

Amanda, I see you are looking to raise funds. If your interested I can work out a Pampered Chef,Read More fundraiser for you? Your friends and family shop for themselves as they would at a party, but instead of you earning FREE product, you will earn funds. As long as it can be made payable to an organization/team or school. We can set you up on Facebook and everyone orders right from their couch! Let me know :) Patricia S My business page: www.facebook.com/luvz2cook4u

Your barking dog complaint in North Patchogue is handled by Public Safety, Town of Broohaven. CallRead More them at 451-6161 and they will take action. The first time the owners will be warned, the next time they will receive a summons.

Don't know what the Town ordnance is, but if you live within the Village of Patchogue, I believeRead More there is a "15 minute rule" in the code. Basically, if the dog is barking for more than 15 continuous minutes, it's a violation subject to a fine. Call public safety at 475-1225. Keep in mind it's probably not their first priority (unless the dog has a bad attitude, and is carrying a weapon), but they will be responsive, eventually.
