The members of the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce extends its sympathy to the family of Olga V. Roe who died at her home in Bellport on May 10, 2011 at the age of 102 years. She led a long and happy life, was a friend to many, and active in many volunteer activities.
She played tennis until after she was 90 years of age and played golf even longer. She drove her red Camaro with T tops and "8 under the hood" until she was over 92. She is survived by her sons John J. “Pete” Roe III and his wife Robin, and Walter A. Roe, and her daughter, Sally Roe Mann, of Upper Nyack, NY, and by six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Pete Roe is a partner in Roe Taroff Taitz & Portman, LLP and Walter Roe is the owner of Roe Agency. Both Pete and Walter served as Presidents of our Chamber as did their father, John J. Roe, Jr.
The family is in our thoughts and prayers.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 11 am, at the Congregational Church located at 95 East Main Street, Patchogue, NY. The family would appreciate contributions in her memory to the Congregational Church of Patchogue.
