Live Comedy Show at The Plaza Cinema

The finest and funniest performers on Long Island, live at The Plaza Cinema, Wednesday July 25, 7-9pm.

The Plaza Cinema & Media Arts Center will be hosting its first  stand-up comedy show, featuring performers from the Wilshire Comedy Group and sponsored by Allen Streisfeld. Streisfeld is the host of Long Island’s longest running open mic at Fins Pub in Oakdale, NY, and produces comedy shows for the Wilshire Comedy Group.

Known as "The World's Funniest Accountant," headliner Stevie GB is refreshingly clean on stage. His approach to comedy involves how we deal with everyday life—from working for a living, to voice mail, HMO's, married life and owning a home on Long Island. His well-received off-Broadway play, “Vampire's Suck, the Musical” was also performed at the Vail Leavitt Music Hall in Riverhead. He is currently touring Long Island in his 1 man play, "Welcome to Lawn Guyland," and also is playing Groucho Marx in the touring show "Groucho, A Life in Revue." Also performing, Michele Durante, Joe Pontillo, Stan, Keshner and Les Degan.

Your barking dog complaint in North Patchogue is handled by Public Safety, Town of Broohaven. CallRead More them at 451-6161 and they will take action. The first time the owners will be warned, the next time they will receive a summons.

Don't know what the Town ordnance is, but if you live within the Village of Patchogue, I believeRead More there is a "15 minute rule" in the code. Basically, if the dog is barking for more than 15 continuous minutes, it's a violation subject to a fine. Call public safety at 475-1225. Keep in mind it's probably not their first priority (unless the dog has a bad attitude, and is carrying a weapon), but they will be responsive, eventually.
