River Elementary's 1st Annual Science Fair Extravaganza was amazing! Close to 300 parents, students, and community members came to celebrate and participate in the festivities. Erik the reptile guy came with a few of his unusual friends. Parents got an opportunity to work with the students using the scientific method. River's orchestra students played the theme from Star Wars. Through encouraging our students to take onthis curriculum based, community supported endeavor, River provided its students with an opportunity to inquire, imagine, create, and express themselves in the name of Science and academic excellence. It was definitely the biggest academic event of the school year. Phillip Gerard won first place.
