Ask the Medical Expert: "Concussions: What You Need to Know"

Dr. Asim Merchant, MD will participate in the Peconic Bay Medical Center’s “Ask the Medical Expert” Speaker Series this Wednesday.  Dr. Merchant is a Board-Certified Primary Care and Sports Medicine physician with Advanced Orthopedics who specializes in the management of non-operative orthopedic injuries for all ages.  He will discuss "Concussions: What You Need to Know” on Wednesday, October 2 at 6 p.m. at The Gertrude and Louis Feil Campus for Ambulatory Care, 496 Route 111 (Exit 70, LIE), Manorville, NY.

 

Dr. Merchant's passion for helping student athletes recover from injuries has led him to establish the concussion management program at Advanced Orthopedics, which returns athletes back to safe play as soon as possible.  Dr. Merchant will share a wealth of knowledge about Concussion Management and Sports Medicine and will provide information on prevention and treatment of concussions.  Bring your questions for this interactive program. It is a chance to gain valuable knowledge about this timely subject.
