Assemblyman Garbarino Awards Scholarships

Assemblyman Andrew Garbarino (R,C,I-Sayville) recently had the privilege of presenting two outstanding students with the prestigious Italian-American Legislative Conference College Scholarships.

 

“I am honored to present these scholarships to two of our outstanding students Shannon Brady of Bayport and Troy Douglas Revello of Great River,” said Garbarino. “Both Shannon and Troy have bright futures ahead of them and will continue to make Long Island proud.”

Revello was awarded the Senator John J Marchi Memorial Scholarship for Athletic Excellence, and Brady was awarded the Assemblyman James Conte Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Both Marchi and Conte were members of the Italian-American Conference and shared a dedication to education and future generations of New Yorkers.

Revello will continue his studies at Cornell University where he will participate as a member of the lacrosse team. Brady has been accepted into the Naval Architecture with Deck License Program at SUNY Maritime. Both have participated in many extracurricular activities in addition to their success in the classroom, thus setting outstanding examples for their classmates.
