SJC to Host Psychology Workshop with Dr. Mark Sirkin

St. Joseph’s College (SJC) is pleased to announce that it will host a psychology workshop titled, “The Family-Owned Business: The Psychologist’s Role as Consultant,” on Thursday, March 6 from 5:30-7 p.m. in the Shea Conference Room located on its Long Island Campus.

Led by Mark Sirkin, Ph.D., founder of Sirkin Advisors, director of the mental health counseling program at Mercy College and author of The Secret Life of Corporations, the workshop will explore Dr. Sirkin’s experiences consulting with family businesses and how he utilizes his background as a psychologist and systems therapist to work with these complex organizations.

"We are very pleased to host this workshop for St. Joseph’s and our local community,” said Diane Sherlip, Ph.D., associate professor of psychology at SJC. “This is a wonderful opportunity for business owners to gain valuable insights into some of the less obvious pathways for building and maintaining business success. It is also an excellent opportunity for our students to learn about some of the real world applications of psychological constructs.”
