E. Patchogue Man Nears 3 Million Miles in Volvo

East Patchogue's Irv Gordon, 72, is only 34,000 miles away from logging 3 million miles in his 1966 Volvo P1800S, reports NPR.

According to an Associated Press report, that's the equivalent of 1,176 times around the globe.

The car has its original engine and the motor has been rebuilt twice.

Volvocars.com wrote that Gordon has racked up the miles through a 125-mile round-trip daily commute and his own passion of driving.
