Open door Fridays in Lent at the United Methodist Church of Patchogue

In keeping with the United Methodist Church’s motto of “Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors,” the United Methodist Church of Patchogue will have its sanctuary open for prayer and reflection on Fridays in Lent from 12:00 until 1:30 PM.

The pastor of the church, Rev. Ernesto Sanchez, will give a short devotional based on a reading from the Upper Room magazine. The devotional will be given in both English and Spanish. There will then be time for private meditation. There will also be written information available about prayer and Lenten disciplines.

The United Methodist Church is recognized as a historic landmark by the Village of Patchogue and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The interior design of the sanctuary is in the Gothic style and the beautiful stained glass windows are Tiffany style designed by American artist G. H. Lederly.
