The "Kicks for Cancer" fundraiser started in honor of Hauppauge High School student Courtney Tomkins who passed away several years ago from brain cancer. This fundraiser is sponsored by the Suffolk County Girls Soccer Coaches Association.

Last year, the Patchogue Medford Girls Varsity Soccer Team raised over $1100.00 dollars for the Making Headway Foundation, the American Cancer Society, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the American Lung Association and other various Cancer Research Foundations.

The team’s goal this year is to pass the $1500 dollar mark and welcomes all families, community members and anyone interested to attend the game and wear pink to show their support.

There will be a variety of ways to donate the day of the game. There will be raffles, baked items for sale, pink cancer support bracelets will be on hand and Pat Med Raider t-shirts can be purchased with 100% of all proceeds going towards the fundraiser.

The Patchogue Medford Varsity Girls Soccer team would love to see you there and not only cheer them on, but support such a great cause!
