Local band lifts festival

Royal City Riot infuses ska into Alive After Five.

Royal City Riot, a band that blends the genres of reggae, ska and soul took the stage in front of Delfiores Pizza & Food Co. on Friday, at the Alive After Five street festival.

The group formed in 2006 and released an album last year called Coast To Coast on ska label, Megalith Records.

Their set consisted of original music, alternating with reggae and ska infused versions of classic crowd favorites such as The Beatles' "Revolution."
