Medford Volunteer Ambulance Company Holds Dedication Service

The dedication was in honor of two of the Company's fallen colleagues.

A memorial dedication service was recently held as part of the Medford Volunteer Ambulance Company's annual open house. The dedication was in honor of two of the Company's fallen colleagues, Claire Cartwright and Robert E. Mistler, Jr.

The Company, which is located on Sipp Avenue, dedicated the building to Cartwright, a long-time member, then tearfully watched as Mistler's favorite truck, or rig as it's known to those in the Company, was dedicated in his honor. A large crowd gathered nearby to listen to the memorial speeches.

The dedications were part of a day that was filled with activities for members of the Company and their friends and family. After the ceremony, visitors toured the facility, enjoyed a barbecue and watched an accident recovery demonstration.
