Newly-Elected Legislator Talks Serota, Sewer Districts and Filling His Dad's Shoes

Bill Lindsay, a Sayville native whose father served as a Suffolk County Legislator for 12 years, is stepping into his Dad’s lawmaking role following his election to the 8th District on Election Day last week. Patch asked him about his view of proposed projects in his district and his view of sewer development.

All of the parking lots in Patchogue Village will at least be partly closed off over the course of Monday, Nov. 18 in order to have their cracks filled.

Work is going to start early Monday, starting with the Church Street parking lot, Patchogue Village trustee Joseph Keyes said at Tuesday's Village Board meeting. The process should be quick, Keyes said, estimating that the Church Street lot will be done by 9 a.m.

Sachem To Start Notifying Those Affected By Info Leak

Those who Sachem Central School District knows or believes have had their information leaked onto public websites are going to start receiving notifications, the district announced in a statement early Thursday morning.

“This egregious violation of the personal privacy of certain students is of grave concern to us, and the district will continue to work closely with local and federal law enforcement  officials  in  an attempt to identify and prosecute those responsible for this violation,” the statement said.
