Patchogue Electronic Band Plays Festival

The Forensics performed improvisational rock music.

The Forensics played on the Cultural Stage on Saturday at 3 p.m. to a crowd consisting mainly of young adults at the Great South Bay Music Festival.

The electronica guitar trio recently brought their unique fusion of jam band meets techno to Patchogue Theatre's Live in the Lobby Series and the Brick House Brewery.

The band's bass player, Andy Sansone said, "We try to bridge the gap between electronica and hard rock ... The Grateful Dead and Phish, people would dance to that; electronica and techno is what people dance to now.  ... Rock kids like to dance just as much as anybody else."

Sansone wore pointed "Spock ears" in homage to sci-fi classic Star Trek.  The band often performs in themed attire.

The Forensics played at an after party later that night at The Sage Cafe in Blue Point.
