Activities and events happening today in Patchogue and Medford.

A book signing at Best Bargain Book store, the bi-monthly Village Board of Trustees meeting and library programs are what is happening in the Patchogue and Medford area on Monday.

Jump Bunch, , 31 Rider Ave., Patchogue, 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m.
A program for young children that introduces sports and fitness programs. The 10 a.m. program is for parents/caregivers with children age 15-35 months, 11 a.m. for age 3, and 12 p.m. for age 4.

Crochet Project: Afghan Squares, , 54 E Main St., Patchogue, 2:30 p.m.
Group crochet class. Participants should bring two to three light-colored worsted weight yarns, paper, pencil and size H crochet. The class will be held in the Board Room.

Book Time With a Dog, , 31 Rider Ave., Patchogue, 6:30 p.m., 6:50 p.m.
Children grades 1-6 can read to a certified and trained therapy dog to improve reading abilities.

Author T.A. Barron will be signing copies of his book, Merlin's Dragon: Ultimate Magic, at Best Bargain Books store.

Public hearings relating to the Long Island Housing Partnership, consideration of increasing the fees for out-of-district sewer connections, the Lake Street parking lot of the Patchogue Fire District and reports from Mayor Paul Pontieri and the Village Board.
