Patchogue-Medford Today: Oct. 26

Activities and events happening today in Patchogue and Medford.

A girls' night out at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital, Colloquium Series installment at St. Joseph's College, village planning board meeting and varsity field hockey game are all happening Tuesday in the Patchogue-Medford area.

Spirit Girls Night Out, Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Center, 100 Hospital Road, East Patchogue, 6-9 p.m.

Dr. David Mangiameli of Brookhaven Breast Health Services and Dr. Mattoo of Brookhaven Sleep Disorder Center will teach attendees about breast cancer and how to get a better night's sleep. Admission is free and a light supper will be served.

Shea Conference Room, O'Connor Hall, St. Joseph's College, 155 W Roe Blvd., Patchogue, 12:40 p.m. to 1:40 p.m.

St. Joseph's Liberal Arts Colloquium Series will host "Adapting the American Renaissance: Hollywood's Good, Bad and Ugly," by St. Joseph's College English professor Peter Mascuch, Ph.D. Admission is free.

Patchogue's planning board will meet today at Village Hall.

Varsity Girls Field Hockey vs. Babylon, Patchogue-Medford High School, 181 Buffalo Ave., Medford, 6 p.m.

The girls field hockey team will face Babylon at home.

The Long Island Center for Pediatric Obesity Prevention is hosting a program about pre-natal and post-natal nutrition at the Pat-Med Library. 

Patchogue Walking Arts Tour, Downtown Patchogue, every day
