Patch visited the Patchogue Village Department of Public Works Thursday afternoon, where the department had several plow trucks ready for winter storm Hercules, which is predicted to drop nearly a foot of snow over the region.
Residents are advised to make sure cars are out of the streets so they do not block the trucks as they plow. Cars in the way may have to be towed.
Photos of the plows are in the media gallery.
