Community celebrates with parade and activities.

The residents of Patchogue Shores, in East Patchogue, celebrated the private community's 75th anniversary on Saturday.

The celebration at the Patchogue Shores Community Center on the Great South Bay included a children's parade, facepainting, games and activities for kids and adults, and a barbecue.

New York State Assemblyman Dean Murray, a resident of Patchogue Shores himself, presented the Patchogue Shores Board of Directors with a proclamation from the state. Brookhaven Town Councilman Tim Mazzei and Suffolk County Legislator Ed Romaine were also on hand.
