Photos: Welcome Home Sgt. Hudson Darrow

Friends, family and the Patriot Guard gather at Patchogue LIRR to embrace his return.

Sergeant Hudson Darrow returned home Monday to his family after a second year-long tour in Baghdad, Iraq.

He was greeted at the Patchogue railroad station by friends, family members, and veterans with the Patriot Guard. Darrow recently served as an Army Reservist embedded with the 423rd MP Company out of Uniondale.

"I did not know that [the escort] was happening at all. This was great. It's great to be home. I'm hoping to go back though to Afghanistan in October," said Darrow, "I hope that people realize that the war is not over and that there are still guys over there who are going to be there for a while."
