Very disappointed in the residents and businesses of Patchogue. A full 2 days after the storm and many sidewalks within this wonderful village are still not shoveled. Why does the village put up with this, your going to charge for parking and then not make sure people can get from the car to the stores. The square in front of Capital One bank is a joke, some one pushed a shovel and made 3 paths not accessible by stroller or wheelchair. North Ocean and Roe in front of the construction storage is not shoveled, as our children walk to school tomorrow are they supposed to walk in the street. The sidewalks along the street at the garden club not shoveled. This is a huge liability for our village. Something needs to be done. Mayor P needs to make these people pay for failing to upkeep the sidewalks in front of their homes and businesses.

For the taxes Patchogue Village charges they should shovel the sidewalks as part of that. I believe they pay property taxes and BID taxes. Now Mayor PP is screwing them with parking fees that will certainly reduce shopping in the Village. Gee, I wonder if the fees end each day prior to the drinking crowd arriving in town. Emporia Bar gets free parking as no plans to put fees on that yet, even though they say it is coming.....yeah sure it will.
