In observance of Thanksgiving, several local institutions are closed and public transportation will be operating on a special schedule for the federal holiday.
Those closed include Patchogue Village Hall, Patchogue-Medford Public Library, the Patchogue-Medford School District and the US Post Office locations in Patchogue and Medford.
The Long Island Rail Road will be adding trains for their holiday schedule.
The Suffolk County Transit (SCT) bus system will not be in operation.
