Backstage with Shaggy

Jamaican singer talks to Patchogue Patch on international tour, playing back in the states again, and philanthropic work.

Although Jamaican-American reggae singer Shaggy (born Orville Richard Burrell) will spend most of his summer performing abroad, he is no stranger to Long Island.

Shaggy, who owns a record studio in Valley Stream, performed at this year's Mega Jam in Medford, and although eastern Long Island is a closer commute from Valley Stream, this island is nothing like his home island of Jamaica.

Patchogue Patch caught up with Shaggy backstage at Mega Jam.
