Christmas Holiday Parade of Boats in Patchogue

The Patchogue Riverfront Committee is once again sponsoring the 17th Annual Christmas Holiday Parade of Boats, which will take place on Sunday, November 21 along the beautiful Patchogue River. Viewing will be at Sandspit Marina, Brightwood Street, Patchogue. Entertainment, children's activities, food and refreshments will be available onsite. Festivities will begin around 4pm and the parade will kick off around 6 pm.

This year's theme is "A Christmas Past." Be part of the holiday fun, be sure to use your imagination and decorate your boat for this holiday tradition. Trophies will be awarded for Best in Theme, Best Use of Lights, Best Use of Sound and Best Overall. Last year, approximately 30 boats took part in this festive event.

For the first time ever, visitors will get a chance to look at the different boats and vote on their favorite ones. Voting will take place on Saturday, November 20th from 5-9 p.m. Visit The Oar House, The Off Key Tikki, or The Harbor Crab.  Park at one restaurant, pick up a map, cast your vote, hop on the water taxi and on to the next stop.

The deadline to enter is November 15. Be sure your boat is ready for viewing for the general public by November 20. The entry fee is $35, which includes overnight dockage on the Patchogue River for "People's Choice Viewing" the night before the parade and "The Captain's Breakfast" (for two) at 10 am the day of the parade. Please make checks payable to Patchogue Riverfront Committee. Checks may be sent to: Patchogue Riverfront Committee, PO Box 978, Patchogue, NY 11772.
