Michael Ward Bergeman, a Patchogue High School graduate  is coming home to Patchogue to perform on October 19 during the day at Tremont Avenue Elementary school, his alma mater, and at the PTPA's All that Jazz that same evening as a part of his "GIG 365 Tour." The "GIG 365 Tour" is a tour comprised of a gig a day performed by Mr. Bergeman from January 1- December 31, 2011.  Mr. Bergeman started the year booking a certain number of gigs, which then has decided the direction for his travel.  The rest of the gigs pop up as he goes. The tour has been met with much excitement, and this past June journalist and co-founder of the Village Voice, John Wilcok, interviewed Mr. Bergeman for his blog which can be found at

Mr. Bergeman is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. His sensitive and creative approach to music making has led to performances and collaborations with world-class musicians and composers from across a wide range of genres in a variety of settings. Mr. Bergeman worked with Francis Ford Coppola and gypsy musicians in Romania on a movie soundtrack, and performed the music of Osvaldo Golijov at Auschwitz-Birkenau for the BBC Film Holocaust - A Music Memorial Film from Auschwitz.  In addition to performing at hundreds of pubs and small local venues across the U.S. and U.K., he has performed at renowned concert venues in Boston, Chicago and Cleveland Symphonies, and worked with conductors Gustavo Dudamel and Marin Aslop.  His improvisational skills have caused him to reach back to the Native American, African, and immigrant roots of the unique American musical form--Jazz. He has also brought his gift to many communities by conducting music therapy sessions at rehabilitation and senior citizen centers both in the U.S. and the U.K., and has taught clowning and circus arts to elementary school students.
