Patchogue Native's Musical Set For Weekend Debut

Howard Beckerman's musical "Life after Life" will run Saturday and Sunday at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.

Patchogue native and now-playwright Howard Beckerman will see his musical "Life after Life" take center stage this weekend at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts.

The musical is about two souls who act as guardian angels over the loved ones they leave behind. A troupe of angels guides the two characters as the audience follows their journey.

Beckerman's play was made possible by the New Musicals Project, a collaboration between the Patchogue Theatre and Worldwide Voices, two non-profit organizations that support and nurture the local arts. The New Musicals Project seeks to produce original musical plays written by Long Islanders for a Long Island audience.

The show starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday and 3 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $10 and include a beverage. They can be purchased by visiting the box office, or reserving your tickets by calling (631) 207-1313.
