Sorry Folks Update!

I just looked and could not find any reference to the dead Bird article on the Huffington Post or on AOL. Today, work has been done to remove spam and close accounts, connected with this article. It appears that the link to AOL and the Huffington Post may have been inadvertently broken, so the post is no longer there. The obituary is still on Topix. OK! You can still enjoy the article, it is indeed funny.

Our own Robert Fleming published a very funny article in Patchogue Patch called "Pigeon Found Dead in Patchogue. This article soon went "Viral," and was posted in AOL.Com, and The Huffington Post. Robert's wonderful article has reached a new pinnacle; today I discovered that Patchogue's beloved pigeon has been eulogized in the Topix .com Obituary Column!  LOL :--)  Kudos to Robert Fleming.

Please read Robert's article . You must "click" the tab that says "Show me all earlier comments," which is at the top of the "comment section" before reading the comments. http://patchogue.patch.com/groups/opinion/p/pigeon-found-dead-in-patchogue

For sure! Just for fun! Maybe they had something to do with the demise of our Pigeon? LOL Would you believe... This photo was taken in my friend's back yard in Florida. Everybody keeps telling him to put some sort of armor on his small dog. Vultures can easily put his dog on the menu! LOL

Ben, you are correct! I know someone who's little dog was picked up and taken by some sort of hawk. Any large bird including owls prey on small animals. Yikes!

The birds are in my friend's Birdbath, on his back lawn!

George... Could you rent your Vultures to me for the summer? I'm sure these guys would prevent the animals from eating my wife's vegetables! LOL
