Air Conditioners Still Available in Patchogue

With the temperature soaring into the mid 90s, Patchogue Patch took inventory on where to pick up an air conditioner to help beat the heat.

Home Depot on 10 Gateway Blvd. in Patchogue has the cheapest air conditioners of the stores compared, with prices as low as $100. The most expensive unit cost $449. The store is selling both window and portable units. 

Best Buy on 499 N Service Rd. in Patchogue is selling a 5,000 BTU air conditioner for $130. That unit will cool down a 155-square-foot space. The most expensive air conditioner in that store goes for $450.

The East Patchogue Lowe's Home Improvement on 825 Montauk Highway has an 8,000 BTU window unit, enough to cool a 20 by 20 room, for $199. The Medford location at 2796 Route 112 reported a larger stock, with prices ranging from $199 to $400. Both stores are open until 10:00 p.m.

PC Richards & Sons, 545 Sunrise Highway, is selling over 100 types of air conditioners ranging from $200 to $1000. P.C. Richards will close at 9:00 p.m.
