Eliyahu Cohen wins Million Dollar Scratch ticket reports Newsday.

An East Patchogue man was awarded $1 million Tuesday as a result of a winning lottery scratch off ticket, reports Newsday.

Eliyahu Cohen will receive the money over the next 20 years in annual payments of $33,000 after taxes, according to the New York Lottery.

The article says Cohen is a retired limousine service owner, and that the money will help when his wife decides to retire next year and to help his son, a soldier injured in Iraq.

Cohen reportedly purchased the ticket at a convenience store on Sunrise Highway in Oakdale on Mother's Day.

He won $1,000,000, but after taxes he will be receiving only $33,000? Am I reading this correctly?
