JVC Broadcasting To Make Waverly Eyesore New Headquarters

$1.2 million project scores Suffolk IDA benefits.

JVC Broadcasting, who owns and operates several Long Island radio stations, is moving its headquarters into Patchogue Village.

The broadcasting company is receiving an incentive package from the Suffolk County Industrial Development Agency (IDA) to assist in the move to 185 Waverly Avenue, announced Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone in a release Thursday.

According to the release, the headquarters is a $1.2 million project, and the building is a 7,800 square foot site that has been vacant for four years. JVC Broadcasting will be managing a $310,000 renovation of the site in order to make the building match the recent improvements and developments in Patchogue Village.

According to the release, $228,000 in property tax, sales tax and mortgage recording tax savings are the projected incentives that JVC are receiving for this move. The company is also proposing the creation of 14 new jobs over the next two years with an increase in average employee salary. No date or timeline was provided in the release for the move.
