Library Budget Approved; Caselles Elected Trustee

Budget is a 2.24 percent increase over previous year.

The Annual Budget was approved in its public vote Tuesday and Lisa Caselles was elected a library trustee.

The budget is a 2.24 percent increase in taxpayer funds, leading to around $8 million being raised to fund the library.

In the trustee race, Caselles defeated Avrum Musetti, of Medford, 289-218.

According to a flyer from the library, Caselles is a Patchogue resident and President of the South Ocean Middle School PTA and of the Pilot Club of Patchogue. She works as a special education teacher.

Caselles will serve a five-year term ending in 2017.
