New music venue/bowling alley/night club opens in Patchogue Village.

The Emporium, a new music venue/bowling alley/night club business, held its grand opening Saturday at its 9 Railroad Avenue location in Patchogue.

According to a press release, the building cost over $5 million to renovate from the former Patchogue Manor catering hall into the music venue.

So far there have been numerous fights and complaints from Copper Beech residents. How much parking did this business factor into their plan. This place is going to become a neighborhood nuisance very quickly. Good luck to the 3 poor suckers who bought Riverwalk condos. Between the bus stop and this they might as well have bought in the middle of a city slum. More drunk and disorderly conduct coming our way….got to love the “quality of life” in the village.

My friend in code enforcement said the number of public urination cases in Patchogue has sky rocketed from all the music events and bars. He said the guys now call Patchogue “PEE TOWN.”

And why does security for the Emporium get to close the road down on Saturday night? Parking and traffic is becoming a major problem already, and the place just opened. I almost got hit three times in the parking lot behind Bobbique from people zipping around and not paying attention. Police and Public Safety certainly have their hands full with the Emporium, if what I witnessed Saturday night was any indication.
