Visions For Vacancies: Former Metro PCS

In this series, readers can discuss what they would like to see spring up from vacant locations in Patchogue and Medford.

In “Visions for Vacancies,” Patchogue Patch will feature vacant storefronts and seek input from readers as to the type of business they would like to see fill the empty location.

Formerly a  location, this storefront has since closed and is currently empty.

The store is directly across the street from another vacancy, the abandoned department store.

What would you want to see come to this location? Tell us in the comments section below.

That building really needs to be updated. That is why it is never rented. It is an eyesore.

Years ago Patchogue had stores where you could purchase just about anything; sporting goods, cards and gifts, good quality clothing, sewing and crafts, Now with gas prices going through the roof, its time to bring back these types of stores and put them in the downtowns whereby you can walk to them.

So true, updating is necessary for this building. I can think of so many stores we could use here in the Village; a grocery store, a hardware and housewares store, cards and gifts (if you haven't been to Queen City Cupcakes yet, they do have some nice cards and fabulous gifts). We need more places to shop now that we have plenty of places to eat.
