Turkey trotting and live music highlight this midsummer weekend, which is also set to have another sweltering day on Saturday.

Friday, July 23

A Night of Continuous Music, Brick House Brewery, 7:00 p.m.

Brick House Brewery will be playing music until 2:00 a.m. Friday night between bands Huck 7 to 9, DJ Brandon Elsbree, and Radio 94.

Schroeder's Ghost, Bobbique, 9:00 p.m.

This blues band with an electric guitar edge plays throughout Long Island

Jebus, Once and For All Cafe, 9:30 p.m.

This house band frequently plays the Velvet Lounge in Stony Brook. The band consists of four members and plays original songs in the folk rock style as well as covers by bands such as The Beatles, Neil Young, and Beck.

Saturday, July 24

, 7:00 p.m. Shorefront Park Bandshell

Part of the summer concert series at the Patchogue Bandshell, this Jimmy Buffett tribute band breaks out guitars, percussion, and, of course, steel drums, to play covers and originals inspired by the tropical style of Jimmy Buffet.

Danny Kean, Bobbique, 9 p.m.

This Farmingdale based singer has a slower R&B and blues style with an emphasis on the keyboard.

Sunday July 25

Kiwanis Club of Patchogue Twilight Trot 5k, Brick House Brewery, 6:00 p.m.

5k race around Patchogue Lake that will start and end at the Brick House Brewery. Day of race registration is $30, which will begin at 5:00 p.m. Registered runners over 21 will receive their first two pints of beer on the house, and $100 cash will be given to the top three male and female runners in various age categories.
