I'm very familiar with the operations of Wal-Mart having dealt with all their Long Island stores on a daily basis . I suggest the planning board take a close look at the store operations before allowing this unit to go through. We know what the effect on traffic will be and the misery this will cause to the homeowners in the vicinity but to this chain this is a sideshow. I hope this isn't Brookhavens answer to Islip who has a Target opening soon on Sunrise and Broadway because we lost that battle . Target is by far the more responsible retailer and this would be comparing Macy's to a dollar store. Look at the disgrace Wal-Mart runs in Island is and Valley Stream ! Do we need that here just to try to recover the sales tax dollars we a going to lose to Islip. Too late and it will turn into another Bellport Outlet. Hopefully eyes will open and common sense will prevail.
