Six Valid Reasons to End a Marriage

(Sometimes Quitting is the Best Thing to Do)

1) Marriage is supposed to be a love affair and a business arrangement.  If your spouse has addictions -- whether it be to drugs, porn, gambling, alcohol, or if your spouse is just plain lazy and entitled, these negative behaviors are going to land you in the poorhouse, if they haven’t already, and it becomes a matter of self-preservation to bail.

2) Everyone around you, your children, friends, and even the village idiot wonders, why the hell the two of you are still together.

3) Everything about your spouse either annoys, disgusts, or upsets you.

4) You can’t seem to please your spouse no matter how you try.  Well, logic alone will tell you that if your spouse is going to be miserable with you, then he/she can be miserable without you as well.

5) You can’t remember the last time you had sex -- with your spouse that is -- and the mere thought of being intimate with your spouse gives you hives.

6) The only reason that you two haven’t killed each other is because neither one of you owns a gun.

Sometimes cutting your losses and moving on is the only way to get on with your life.  The trick is to realize that you don’t have to hate your spouse to leave him or her. You just have to come to that place of self-love and know when enough is enough.  You are only responsible for your own behavior.

And please, do try to strive for divorce without drama and trauma.
