PV Board Meeting 3/10/14 Top Issues

New Feature: Video Clips!

This Monday at Village Hall at 6 p.m. the Patchogue Village Board of Trustees will be meeting. An agenda of the meeting is available on line and can be seen on the village website:  www.patchoguevillage.org.

There are no public hearing scheduled for this meeting although the last agenda item of the evening will be the Public to Be Heard section. Any member of the public may address the Mayor and the Board about any issue of interest or concern at that time.

Top agenda items: a presentation from H2M about the “River Avenue Sewer Extension Project”. This project involves the extension of the village sewer line to lower River Avenue.  Details about the scope of this project will be presented to the full Board.

Not on the agenda but perhaps arising during Dave Kennedy’s Chamber of Commerce report may be a revisiting of the cut off hour for AA5.

Other items of some note to the neighborhoods in the vicinity of Fireman’s Park: two approvals are being sought for outdoor events during the summer. Jerry Jam is asking for approval for its eighth concert on Saturday 8-16 from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.  And a second date 8-17 is also being sought with a time for that event being 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.  If the Village Board approves these days it is also approving outdoor amplified music for the time periods requested.

At the same location Act 1 Entertainment is seeking approval for a Sunday 6-1-14 date for Act1 Block Fest 13. It is requesting to have live amplified music for that event from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on that date. However Sound check for this event not scheduled to begin earlier than 11 a.m.  (Note: requested dates and times are still subject to revision by the Board before it votes).

For those not able to make the media the meeting will be filmed by the Citizens Campaign for Open Village Government. We are now in our 16th month of filming Board meetings. We are now presenting short clips of key issues at meetings as of the last meeting.

Forgot to add also reported at the Board meeting: that 60 percent of the nearly 300 rental units at New Village have been rented out, new tenants to begin entering apartments soon and entire building expected to be rented out by the end of the summer. Plus all but 8 units at the Riverwalk condo complex now sold and the owners are now seeking State Attorney General's approval for its prospectus to allow sales for the its next phase which is actually the larger of the two phases for this nearly 200 condo complex.

Hello MR Keyes....are you saying the newly appointed King of the Road former Trustee Dean can't handle things. I agree. FIre him and hire a competent employee with credentials not just a hook into your administration.....remember us????...the taxpayers who made this Village.....forget Mayor PP and his big time friends.

Hello, Mr mayor are you out there or at another Tritec pep rally. It is public information, where did the docks go. Prove to us all you are honest and suctioned them off at public auction to the highest bidder not just one at one dollar. And while we are on that subject this money was put back into the budget correct along with all the scarp steel being sold from the DPW yard???? We aren't using that for parties and such now or letting someone keep it who ran things down their now did we?? Come now, you had to see it during your hundreds of visits to the gas pumps to fill er up again. Wake up people we are rapidly heading to becoming a Freeport.
