New Feature: Video Clips!

This Monday at Village Hall at 6 p.m. the Patchogue Village Board of Trustees will be meeting. An agenda of the meeting is available on line and can be seen on the village website:  www.patchoguevillage.org.

There are no public hearing scheduled for this meeting although the last agenda item of the evening will be the Public to Be Heard section. Any member of the public may address the Mayor and the Board about any issue of interest or concern at that time.

Top agenda items: a presentation from H2M about the “River Avenue Sewer Extension Project”. This project involves the extension of the village sewer line to lower River Avenue.  Details about the scope of this project will be presented to the full Board.

Not on the agenda but perhaps arising during Dave Kennedy’s Chamber of Commerce report may be a revisiting of the cut off hour for AA5.

Other items of some note to the neighborhoods in the vicinity of Fireman’s Park: two approvals are being sought for outdoor events during the summer. Jerry Jam is asking for approval for its eighth concert on Saturday 8-16 from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m.  And a second date 8-17 is also being sought with a time for that event being 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.  If the Village Board approves these days it is also approving outdoor amplified music for the time periods requested.

At the same location Act 1 Entertainment is seeking approval for a Sunday 6-1-14 date for Act1 Block Fest 13. It is requesting to have live amplified music for that event from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on that date. However Sound check for this event not scheduled to begin earlier than 11 a.m.  (Note: requested dates and times are still subject to revision by the Board before it votes).
