PV Board Meeting Monday 2/10/14: PUBLIC HEARING ON SANDWICH BOARDS

Monday 2/10/14 at 6 pm the Patchogue Village Board of Trustees will be meeting at village hall. Top agenda items: continuation of a public hearing concerning proposed restrictions on sandwich board signs in the village. All members of the public are welcome to comment on that subject.

Later in the meeting the Board will also consider for approval two bonds, one short term and one long term. There will be no public comment concerning those issues. One short term bond in the amount of 350,000 for the already approved repair of the roof of the Patchogue Theater. The village owns that building. The second is a longer term bond for more than five years (not otherwise specified in the resolution language) in the amount of 800,000 for sewer related repairs and upgrades. Barring mitigating details that will not be known until discussion at the meeting the two bonds will increase village indebtedness by the amount of 1,150,000 (one million one hundred and fifty thousand dollars).

For those interested in viewing the video for the first public hearing on the subject of sandwich board restrictions there is video that can be seen on the website for the Citizens Campaign for Open Village Government. It is the video for the 1-14-14 meeting of the Board Part One.
