An East Patchogue man, who ran a Bohemia gun shop, faces up to 25 years in prison after police found hundreds of weapons, several of them illegal unregistered handguns, in his garage, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota announced Thursday.

Half Hollow Hills
It was a score that couldn’t be beat. That is until Ryan Savit came along. The Half Hollow Hills diver broke a 30-year-old Suffolk County record on Jan. 23 with a six-dive total score of 344.76. Brentwood’s Glen Barroncini set the previous record in 1982 with a score of 333.98.

West Islip
Steven Kinalis, the man now with aggravated vehicular homicide related to the death of West Islip 5-year-old John Gaffney, filled prescriptions for nearly 500 painkillers in the days before last month's fatal crash in Shirley, DA Thomas Spota announced Monday. Kinalis, who faces 25 years in prison, pleaded not guilty to upgraded felony charges the next day.

Police arrested a Lindenhurst man in connection with a bank robbery that took place at the Suffolk County National Bank in Amityville on Monday. Thomas Weber, 28, was nabbed Tuesday and charged with one count of third degree robbery, police said.

Family-owned Lacrosse Unlimited is coming to Sayville, filling the space that only recently housed longtime Main Street staple . Local fans will have the chance to shop at the new business dedicated to all things lacrosse by mid-February, according to a Lacrosse Unlimited representative, who added the Sayville store marks the company's fifth Suffolk County location.
