NEFCU’s “A Season Of Giving Charity Donations Contest” To Benefit Local Non-Profits

In keeping with the spirit of the holiday season, we at NEFCU are pleased to bring back for the second year in a row our “A Season of Giving Charity Donations Contest”.

Do you know a charity in need of a little extra holiday cheer?

In keeping with the spirit of the holiday season, we at NEFCU, a leading credit union serving all Long Island’s banking needs, are pleased to bring back for the second year in a row our “A Season of Giving Charity Donations Contest”.

NEFCU has a proud 74 year history of giving back to the communities we serve and we are happy to donate $5,000 to local Long Island charities again this holiday season. There are so many deserving charities doing great work here on Long Island. Who better to decide the winner of this contest than the Long Islanders who support and benefit from their services.

The contest takes place on Facebook via a special application. “Likes” of the page can nominate and then vote for their chosen charity. All nominated charities must meet NEFCU’s community based goals which can be found by visiting www.myNEFCU.org. The organization with the most votes will receive a charitable contribution from NEFCU in the amount of $2,500. The second most frequently voted charity will receive $1,500, and the third will receive $1,000. The contest began on 11/26/12. Nominations must be made by 5:00p.m. EST on 12/9/12. Voting will end at 5:00p.m. EST on 12/21/12. The winner of the “A Season of Giving Charity Donations Contest” will be announced December 22nd on the NEFCU Facebook Page.

We hope you will participate and nominate/vote for your favorite charity today!
