Dedication of Public Sculpture

"The Library at Babel", a sculpture by Patchogue artist John Cino, is to be dedicated October 20 behind the Patchogue-Medford Library with a reading of the short story of the same title by Luis Borges. The sculpture was made possible in part by grants from Friends of the Patchogue-Medford Library and the Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature; it is administered by the Huntington Arts Council, Inc.

"The Library at Babel is both an homage to the great tradition of information storage we know as a library and a contemplation of the infinite possibilities of language." -- John Cino
