Lust, treachery, and heartbreaking passion: Tosca has it all, and set to one of Puccini’s most gleaming scores. The Royal Opera House pulls out all the stops in this decadent production by Jonathan Kent. With bona fide stars Angela Gheorghiu, Jonas Kaufmann and Bryn Terfel heading the cast, it’s no surprise that the press is raving: “This is a Tosca to savour.” (The Stage) Running time: 131 minutes. One 10 minute intermission. Sung in Italian w/ English subtitles.
