Supervisor Ed Romaine and Superintendent of Highways Dan Losquadro have announced that the Town of Brookhaven Highway Department and the Brookhaven Wildlife Center, Inc. (BWC) will hold a “Bowl for the Love of Animals" fundraiser for the entire family on Sunday, April 21 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bowl Long Island, 138 West Avenue in Patchogue.

All proceeds will go to the BWC, a not-for-profit program that supports the cost of feed and veterinary care for the animals living at the Town of Brookhaven’s Holtsville Ecology Site Animal Preserve.

The donation for this fun-filled event is $30 for adults, $20 for juniors 12 years and younger and $10 for non-bowlers, and includes unlimited bowling, shoe rental, buffet and dessert. There will also be raffles and a 50/50 drawing. To register and make your payment online, go to www.brookhavenwildlifecenter.org. For more information, call 631-758-9664, extension 11.

Some of the amenities at the park include an exercise-trail fitness course; nature preserve and ecology center featuring buffalo, bobcats, eagles, ecology exhibits and tours; free compost; greenhouses, and a picnic area. The Ecology Site and Animal Preserve is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  For more information, visit www.brookhaven.org or call 758-9664.
