Lost Patchogue Dog Found Via Boards, Facebook

A golden retriever who went missing in Patchogue Friday was quickly found via the Patch Boards and Facebook.

The dog named Hunter had gone lost near Roe Boulevard Friday morning without his collar, wrote Jennifer onto Patch's Boards Friday morning.

Jennifer told Patch that people who read the dog missing notice on the Patch Boards matched it up with a Facebook announcement of a dog found, which turned out to be Hunter.

"I received many calls and we were reunited with him last night," Jennifer told Patch in an email.

Jennifer also posted her thanks to the community on a new Board post Saturday morning.

"Just to let everyone know we have found the golden retriever. Thank you for all the calls. He was with a great family and we were reunited with him last night.  Thanks again," she wrote.
