Many Runners Race Through Village at Santa's 5K Toy Trot

Over 600 runners came to race and 800 toys collected for children in need.

Over 600 runners ran through Patchogue Village Sunday in the Patchogue Kiwanis Santa's 5K Toy Trot.

This year's race collected 800 toys that will be given to the children of families in need.

According to an announcement from the Patchogue Kiwanis, one volunteer at the race came from as far away as Russia. The race started and ended at Shorefront Park.

The top three male race finishers are Greg Cantwell in first, Chris Mammone in second, and James Weider in third. The top three female race finishers are Laura Cummings in first, Katie McGrath in second and Eileen Donlon in third.
